1. Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how we (bpro.co.nz (“BPro”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collect, use, store, disclose and protect your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and the Information Privacy Principles (“IPPs”).

1. Information we collect

We collect personal information that you provide directly to us, and information generated through your use of bpro.co.nz. This includes:

  • Account information — name, business name, NZBN, email address, phone number, delivery and billing addresses.
  • Order information — products ordered, specifications, image files you upload, order history, and correspondence about orders.
  • Payment information — payment is processed by our payment provider (ANZ Bank and its associated gateway). We do not store full card numbers on our systems. We receive transaction confirmation data, including the last four digits of the card and an authorisation reference.
  • Technical information — IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and cookie data collected when you visit bpro.co.nz.
  • Communications — emails, support requests, and other correspondence between you and us.

2. How we collect information

We collect personal information directly from you when you:

  • Register an account
  • Place an order
  • Upload files for printing
  • Contact our support team
  • Subscribe to our newsletter or marketing communications
  • Browse bpro.co.nz (via cookies and analytics tools)

3. How we use your information

We use your personal information to:

  • Process and fulfil your orders
  • Communicate with you about your orders and account
  • Provide customer support
  • Process payments and prevent fraud
  • Send marketing communications, where you have opted in
  • Improve bpro.co.nz, our products, and our services
  • Comply with our legal obligations under NZ law

We will not use your personal information for any purpose unrelated to those above without your consent.

4. Image files you upload

We treat the images you upload to fulfil your orders as confidential. We use them only to produce and dispatch your order, and to provide support relating to that order.

We do not use customer images for marketing, samples, portfolio work or any other purpose without your express written permission.

We retain order files for a reasonable period to support reorders and quality issues. You may request deletion of your files at any time by contacting us.

5. Sharing your information

We share personal information only where necessary, with:

  • Payment providers — ANZ Bank and its associated payment gateway to process transactions.
  • Couriers and freight providers — to deliver your order (name, delivery address, contact phone number).
  • Service providers — IT hosting, email, customer support and analytics providers who help us operate bpro.co.nz, under confidentiality obligations.
  • Professional advisers — accountants, auditors and lawyers, where required.
  • Regulators and law enforcement — where required by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers (for example, cloud hosting and email platforms) may store or process information outside New Zealand, including in Australia, the United States, and the European Union. Where we send personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected by comparable safeguards, as required by IPP 12 of the Privacy Act 2020.

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. This includes encrypted transmission (HTTPS), access controls, and secure hosting. No system is completely secure, and you provide information to us at your own risk.

8. Cookies and analytics

bpro.co.nz uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, and analyse site usage. You can disable cookies in your browser, though parts of bpro.co.nz may not function correctly without them.

We use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) that collect aggregated information about how visitors use bpro.co.nz. This information is used to improve the site.

9. Marketing

If you have opted in to marketing, we may send you emails about products, promotions and updates. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any marketing email, or by contacting us. We comply with the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007.

10. Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct that information if it is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date
  • Request deletion of your information where it is no longer required for a lawful purpose

11. Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, or as required by law (for example, tax records under the Tax Administration Act 1994).
